Rimmel Wake Me Up v Match Perfection

I recently bought both these foundations and have been wearing both on a daily basis.

Rimmel Wake Me Up costs £8.99 and is supposed used to 'visually reawaken and illuminate skin with a radiant glow and a flawless natural-looking finish.' It is supposed to have an instant anti-fatigue effect also. I sleep 4-5 hours per night, mostly because I find it hard to sleep and am sometimes tired so this would seem the perfect foundation. However, upon a closer look you'll find that the foundation has little shimmer bits in it so if you were to wear more than one layer, you may end up looking like a glitterball so definitely not a 'natural-looking finish'. I have an oily t-zone and found this to last only 2-3 hours. Overall I wouldn't really recommend this foundation.

Rimmel Match Perfection, on the other hand, costs £6.99. Why both these foundations have different prices, even though containing the same amount, I really don't know. This supposed gives 'perfectly flawless skin under any light' and 'lasts all day'. This is true compared to the first foundation. This foundation lasts a lot longer than my previous foundations (5-6 hours). It does have a very thin consistency, almost water-like so it does tend to 'drip' on your face so you have to work with it quickly unless you'd want foundation on your top (which has happened to me a-many time). I would definitely recommend this foundation if you have oily skin as it does make your skin look flawless.

One thing I really didn't like about both foundations was the smell. Both smell cheap and this is quite strong. I ignored this smell and once the foundations were applied to your skin, you can barely smell it.

Berry Lips ~ Top 5

As the days get colder and darker, our tendency to wear dark lips seems to increase.

I don't wear pure red lipsticks as I feel safer if I wear berry reds as I think they suit me more.

I haven't put these lipsticks in any particular order but if I had to choose a favourite it would have to be Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in 30. This was my first ever lipstick as I was quite nervous to buy it as I wasn't sure if it would suit me, but it does and since has become my favourite. It is a deep red-purple colour and stains your lips which is a plus for me because the lipstick fades slightly slower for me then.

Next is Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in Violine Strass 18. This is my only product by Bourjois and I am impressed. The packaging is beautiful and it is a purple pink colour, leaning more towards the purple side.

MUA Matte Lipstick in Wild Berry is a rich berry colour that comes out slightly lighter on your lips; it is super creamy but does tend to not last as long on your lips. Plus, it only costs £1 which is an absolute bargain.

This isn't a lipstick but it's a stain so I counted it as one. Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain in New York Scene 045 is the second darkest colour in the range I think. It applies slightly lighter but when it stains your lips, it looks so good.

Last on my list is one of my recent purchases, Topshop Lipstick in Wicked. I had high expectations for this as this is supposed comparable to MAC lipsticks and last a long time. It lasts 2-3 hours, but if you blot ever so slightly it turns to matte and lasts a bit longer.

(Bottom to Top: Revlon in New York Scene, Topshop in Wicked,
Rimmel London in Shade 30,
Bourjois in Violine Strass 17, MUA in Wild Berry)

November Favourites

I have been loving quite a few things this past month.

First things first, I have been loving my MUA Eyeshadow Palette in Undressed, in particular Shade 5 which I've hit pan on. This palette is really good for neutral eyeshadow looks and looks super natural on your eyelids; the colour pigmentation is also really good especially for a cheap palette.

Next is my concealer palette, which I use to cover up any redness on my skin for which I use the green colour and then the top colour on the last row. These last all days so I have no fear of any redness showing up and it really does cover up all my redness. This palette was from eBay and was super cheap, around £1.30 I'd like to say and is worth every penny. I recently discovered that this is very similar to the Coastal Scents Concealer Palette, but whether the item is a true identical I am not sure of.
My beauty blender has worked wonders for me this month, I recently rediscovered it as I went back to using brushes and I honestly don't know why I haven't been using this all the time! It blends my foundation, concealer and contour really smoothly. I was quite hesitant to use this damp as I have combination skin but it didn't have any adverse effects on my skin,

I have also been loving Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Berry Sorbet. It's such a beautiful colour and looks super natural on me.

Natural Collection Translucent Powder has been a godsend; I had the flu this month so I was feeling extremely hot and extremely cold (though not at the same time of course), so I have been using this on my T-Zone and it helped keep my skin matte all day throughout.

My favourite mascara combination, this month, has been L'Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes and Maybelline Great Lashes. Once you get past the smell of the L'Oreal mascara, it works wonders for your lashes separating them, whilst the Maybelline mascara lengthens and thickens the lashes.

I have recently discovered eyelash curlers again, this is unbranded but it doesn't bother me because all eyelash curlers do the same thing for me, which is fabulously curl your lashes all ready for mascara.

Lip Service Apricot Lip Scrub by Wilkos was one of my birthday presents (I turned 18 yay!) and has does exactly what its supposed to. Whenever my lips feel dry or rough, I use a bit of this and rub my lips and lick my lips (it tastes so good) and it makes my lips oh so smooth.

My sister recently bought Garnier Micellar Water and I thought I'd use some just to see what the hype is and honestly this does take your makeup off instantly. How it does that, I don't know; but I definitely love it. It does take a while to take your mascara especially if you're like me who wears a million layers of mascara lol.

Another present given to me was Charlie Red body spray which was in a gift set with a perfume, It smells really sweet, kinda like flowers with a hint of jasmine.

Revlon 9429u Luxury Chrome Mirror is another item owned by my sister and I hope to buy for myself soon. It has a normal mirror on one side and the other side is magnified x3 and both sides light up. This mirror is so good for doing your eyebrows; you see every hair. I wouldn't really use it for makeup as the mirror may alter how your makeup really looks and you might leave the house with ur foundation too light or dark lol.

I have been watching Not Going Out about a Canadian girl who lives with her platonic male friend and the lives they live. It is a comedy but is quite subtle and usually a play on words. Atlantis is my favourite out of these. I have been watching this since last year, so when the second series started this month I was overjoyed. It follows the life of Jason as he tries to find the truth about what happened to his dad and finds his mum by mistake. He falls in love with a princess who he cannot marry and the series is based loosely on Greek myth so it is always exciting to watch! Some Girls follows the lives of 4 quirky 18 year olds, Holli, Viva, Amber and Saz, as they go through every day life, The Big Bang Theory is so funny to watch. Sheldon is such an awkward yet funny character and I highly recommend this to watch.

Ferrero Rochers have been a guilty fave of mine this month. I have indulged in so many of these, it's ridiculous.

I have been listening to The Middle // Jimmy Eat World. This is such a feel good song and makes my day just a bit better. Tattooed Heart // Ariana Grande is another fave; Ariana's voice reminds me of that of Mariah Carey's and Ashanti's and brings back good memories. Her voice is so beautiful and is best for slow songs (such as this one!). Say You Like Me // We The Kings is such a cheerful song and so up-beat. You can't help feeling happy listening to this! Hope // We Came As Romans has been one of my favourites ever since I first heard it in January; I can't stop listening to this song -it's so good.

Wearable Autumn Makeup

I thought I'd do a wearable Autumn makeup routine which I have been doing for the past couple of weeks or so.

First things first I moisture my face using Nivea Refreshingly Soft Moisturising Cream and prime my entire face with Max Factor FaceFinity Primer concentrating mainly on my cheeks and my forehead. I then use my Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser on where I think I need it the most, which is usually my upper cheeks and my nose.

I use Max Factor Second Skin Foundation in 085 Caramel with my angled foundation brush. This looks super natural on me and gives such a nice finish. I don't really use an actual concealer, so I use Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Stick in 315 Soft Honey, with my domed foundation brush, as a concealer and a highlighter on my brow bone, under my eyes, bridge of my nose and my upper cheeks. I then set all this with a Natural Collection Loose Powder in Neutral Transculent with my Famous by Sue Moxley powder brush. This makes sure that my foundation doesn't fade throughout the day and makes my face not look shiny but super matte. From my concealer palette, I use the bottom colour in the fourth row for highlighting, across the bridge of my nose onto my forehead slightly, under my eyes, on my brown, on my cupids bow ever so slightly and my upper cheeks.

Moving onto brows, I line the bottom of my brows and top with a Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil  in 004 Black Brown and fill them in slightly. I then brush through with Rimmel Brow This Way. I use a spooley brush to comb through the beginning of my eyebrows so they don't look too harsh.

For my eyes I start off by using shade 5 on the MUA Undressed Palette with my fluffiest shadow brush across my entire lid. Since this is almost my skin colour, it hides my dark eye circles well and mattifies it so that I don't end up with a foundation crease line in my lid halfway through my day. I use shade 3 on the same palette in the middle of my lid and blend so it looks natural. If I have spare time, I'll apply eyeliner with small wings with my Rimmel Exageratte Eyeliner. I use my Rimmel Max Bold Curves Mascara, and sometimes my L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara and Rimmel Scandaleyes Show Off Mascara if I have extra time and want my lashes to look longer and thicker.

I use my NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny for contour, or simply just the middle colour in the last row of my concealer palette. I then use my powder all of my face again to set it.

I finish off by using Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Berry Sorbet, which fades to a super natural pink colour and suits my skin tone.

Recent purchases

I went a little lip product crazy when I last went shopping, oops. Anyways I thought I'd do a first impressions on the items I bought.

Top to Bottom:
Calvin Klein in Desire; Maybelline in Sweet Bordeaux;
Miss Sporty in Kiss Me; Bourjois in Violine Strass;
Rimmel in Cherryicious
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Cherrylicious
I love love love the name of this product and the colour is super pretty, it's a red colour with brown undertones. It has a few shimmers in it but they don't come up on your lips much. Price: £6.49

Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in Violine Strass
This is my first ever product by Bourjois and I've got to say there packaging is so beautiful honestly. I am impressed by this colour but only in terms of the colour as it doesn't last long on the lips, probably only an hour or two. Price: £7.99

Calvin Klein's Creme Lipstick in Desire
It's a beautiful purple and smells really fruity. It applies so smoothly and is really creamy and moisturising. Price: £13.50

Miss Sporty Perfect Color Lipstick in Kiss Me 036
I already have 'vintage look' in the same range, but was disappointed with the colour colour is a light red purple shade. It does have a strong smell to it, but the smell goes when you apply it. Price: £2.59

Maybelline ColorSensational Lipstick in 380 Sweet Bordeaux
It looks a deep red but applies as a bright red. I was slightly disappointed by this, but nevertheless I will still use this. The packaging is slightly holographic and looks super cool. Price: £6.99

Top to Bottom:Revlon in New York Scene;
Revlon in Berry Allure;
Revlon in Super Natural
Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Berry Allure and Super Natural
My sister owns Super Natural and I was always stealing hers because it looks super natural on your lips, you can barely tell its on and plus its not sticky so I thought it was time for me to own one. Berry Allure is a plum colour but applies slightly lighter. Nevertheless I'm happy I purchased these lip glosses. Price: £6.99

Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain in New York Scene
It looks a plum red but applies slightly lighter, so it looks super natural on my lips. Its really thin and I didn't expect that but it dries after a while and looks oh so good. Price: £7.99

Top to Bottom: Shooting Star, Out of This World, Eclipse, and Aurora
Rimmel Apocalips in Eclipse, Out of This World, Aurora and Shooting Star
Eclipse is the darkest colour in the range, so far so pleased. It's staying power is good but it does tend to bleed so it's advisable to use with a lip liner. Price: £6.49

Autumnal Lip Products and Swatches

It's finally autumn; the days are getting darker and I finally have a reason to wear dark lips (not that it's stopping me any other time of the year).

I thought I'd show you my top 5 picks for autumn, I've been loving these a lot lately. I have previously done a lip product collection here and here.

First off is MUA Matte Lipstick in Wild Berry, it's a rich berry colour however comes out as a slightly dark purple on your lips. I layer it on so it goes on a bit darker but that's just my preference. It is matte and feels super creamy on the lips and only costs a £1 which an absolute bargain. Next on my list is the shade 30 by Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss (£5.49), it smells lush and is a deep red purple colour. It is supposed a MAC Rebel dupe but I'm not certain of this as I'm yet to own that MAC lipstick. This colour is my absolute favourite and I haven't stopped wearing it since I bought it! Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede in 035 Backstage (£8.99) is a dark berry colour. It has a few shimmers in it, but they can't be seen much. It's staying power is absolutely fabulous as it lasts a long time and it doesn't bleed unlike other lipsticks I own. Fourth on my list is NYC Twistable Lip Color in 031 Gramercy Park Plum (£3.49). It lasts a long time but does tend to fade after 5-6 hours. It is a deep purple colour and applies as sheer, but like many other lipsticks can be applied to make it look heavier. Lastly I have a Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain in 005 Crush (£7.99). This is another purple colour. It applies unevenly and does tends to cling to dry parts to your lips. My only criticism of this product is that it has a minty smell to it, that prevents me from wearing it usually.

Left to right: Revlon in Crush, NYC in Gramercy Park Plum,
Revlon in Backstage, Shade 30 by Rimmel London
and MUA's Wild Berry

My Mascara Collection and Review

First off, I'm just going to say that I do own a sh*t load of mascaras that don't get enough love that they need, but to be honest I do go through phases of using a specific one so I guess that's okay.

Natural Collection WaterGuard Mascara: This mascara is supposed to be waterproof, and it may just be me, but this is definitely not waterproof. Even still, I do find it good to use as way to build up my lashes and make them look longer. Price: £1.99

Natural Collection LashBuild Mascara: This one does do what its made for. It certainly does lengthen my lashes, but you do have to be patient with it otherwise you'll end up with spider lashes. Natural collection mascara packaging is white though which can be a hassle as the packaging does end up a bit dirty, with it living in one of my many makeup bags. Price: £1.99

Rimmel London Volume Flash The MAX Mascara: This mascara is unfortunately discontinued but was roughly around the £7 mark I think. It really separates out my lashes; I use this for a natural look and it works absolutely brilliantly, though I think it wouldn't do the thick lash look. It does lengthen my lashes though.

Rimmel London Scandal'Eyes Show Off Mascara: The wand of this mascara does look quite frightening but I just apply it as I do normally and it makes my lashes super long and long. It is definitely worth the price. Price: £6.99

Miss Sport Pump Up Booster 24 hour Waterproof Mascara: I absolutely love miss sporty mascara and was definitely not disappointed when I bought this mascara. It lengthens and thickens my lashes and was most definitely waterproof; it would often take me a while to take this mascara off - it refused to budge! Plus, its under a fiver so what's not to love about it. Price: £3.99

Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion Mascara: This mascara does do what it says! It makes my lashes look super long and nice and oh so fake and would recommend this mascara 100%! Price: £11.99

Maybelline Great Lash in Blackest Black Mascara: This product was a lot smaller than I expected, nevertheless works the best. The fact that the wand is small means that it can easily brush through all my lashes, making them super thick. I prefer pairing this mascara with another one. Plus, the packaging is super cute. Price: £4.99

L'Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Mascara: The main reason I don't like using this mascara is mostly because of the smell, its a weird kinda smell that isn't unpleasant but is rather off putting. Apart of that, it is fabulous. It applies so easily, making my lashes longer and thicker and its packaging is so nice and looks really elegant. Price: £10.99

Brow Product Review

Rimmel London Brow This Way;
Maybelline Brow Drama;
Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil

Rimmel London Brow This Way: I have this in the colour 'Mid Brown'. This is supposed the dupe for Benefit's Gimme Brow, however the application brush is quite large compared to that of Benefit's. The product can be easily applied too heavily, therefore a light hand is the best way to use it unless you're going for the strong brow look. I feel like this is the perfect colour for me and you get a lot of product in the little tube amazingly. Price: £3.99

Maybelline Brow Drama: This is in the colour 'Dark Brown' The brush itself is quite small and is in a different shape, and so I was hesitant to use this product. However this allows you to have precise application of the colour. I am not a big fan of the formula though because it does feel rather drying. Price: £4.99

Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil: I accidently bought this in 2 different shades as I like to have a backup of my staple products. The colours I have are 'Dark Brown' (001) and 'Black' (001). To be fair, I have quite dark eyebrows so it doesn't really affect me which one of these I use. The pencil can be used with a light hand, to look natural, and can be built up to a darker, more defined colour. I absolutely love this product and have been using it for a year and a half, and simply cannot recommend it enough! Price: £2.99

Fit Me Foundation and Stick Review

I bought the foundation in the shade soft honey (315) a few months ago and the foundation stick, also in the same colour, recently. I apply the foundation religiously with my stippling brush and it blends in so quickly, giving a flawless look. I bought the foundation stick, not really looking up reviews and so I had high hops for it. I found that it tends to move quite easily when I apply it so I dab it with my brush now in order to blend it in, which is quite a lengthy process. Also, it is supposed a 'no shine foundation stick' which I disagree with strongly. It seems to make my face look even more shiny. Due to this, I use the foundation stick as a concealer/first base/first layer of foundation and then I wear a layer of the fit me foundation. I have found this way a lot easier and it makes my foundation flawless. However I do have to say that throughout the day my foundation does tend to cling to my imperfections, but this can be easily fixed by applying a layer of translucent powder. I highly recommend the foundation, but not the stick unless you want to use it as a concealer.
Fit Me Foundation price: £7.99
Fit Me Foundation Stick price: £8.99

Lipstick Product Review and Collection Part Two

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in Tranquility: This dries matte super quickly so you have to work with the product quick. The packaging is minimum and suits it. The colour is a light nude and since this colour is too light for my skintone, I dab some on my lips and quickly pat it so that it covers my lips quickly and makes my lips a nice nude colour. Also, I have tried this as a base for other lipsticks and it makes my lipsticks super vibrant so I recommend this especially in this colour, because you will find a use for it. Price: £3.00

MaxFactor Colour Elixir Giant Pen Stick in Designer Blossom 30: This is a bright red colour which makes your lips stand out. This item doesn't have much wear as I'm not that into red lip colours, only plums and nudes. Price: £6.99

Maxfactor LipFinity Lip Colour in 007 Rosy Whisper: The last two items came together in a set. The colour is way too light for me and doesn't suit me at all. It doesn't have much staying power, which is ironic because of the name and is not worth its price. Price: £7.99

Lipstick Product Review and Collection Part One

Revlon ColorBurst Balm Stain in 005 Crush: This comes on quite shiny but dries to a matte colour that stains your lips for a few hours. However it does have a strong menthol smell that prevents me from using it frequently, but you can't smell it when its on the lips. Also, you get a lot of product so the item is worth it's price. Price: £7.99*

MUA Matte Lipstick in Wild Berry: The packaging is not nice point blank. It looks cheap (which the item is) and is made from white plastic. The formula of the lipstick itself is drying and not at all good. It does not apply smoothly, nor does it put any colour at all on your lips. I can barely manage to put a thin layer on my lips with this, no matter how many times I try to apply this. I honestly do not recommend this item at all and it is not worth its price at all, no matter how cheap it is. Price: £1

MUA Lip Boom in Doin' Good: This item, however, is worth its money. The lip booms come with a lipstick on one side and a lip gloss on the other. The lip gloss is quite sticky and has a lot of glitter in it, therefore I don't render it wearable for me, personally. I use the lipstick side as one of my go-to lipsticks. The colour is not sheer and is slight creamy. However you do have to top up this lipstick quote frequently, which is its downside. Price: £3.00

NYC City Proof Twistable Intense Lip Color in 031 Gramercy Park Plum: This smells heavenly and has easy application. It is a rich purple colour and like many other lip crayons, stains your lips. This for me is a plus, as then when I reapply it to my lips I use less, thus saving the product more! I bought this on a whim, and quite a good whim if I may say so myself. Price: £3.49

Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in 07: This is the perfect nude colour, which I feel complimets my skin. It doesn't really have a scent, or if it does then it's not really as obvious as other lipsticks in my opinion. Price: £5.49

Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in 30: This is one of my other go-to lipsticks. It is a deep purple-red colour and looks absolutely gorgeous on the lips. It also stains the lips, which I prefer. Plus, for a lipstick that doesn't cost much, it is worth every penny. Price: £5.49

I Heart Makeup Lip Geek in Caught Myself Smiling: The colour is a vibrant orange, however is quite sheer on the lips so you can get away with this for an everyday look. The packaging is absolutely fabulous and is a lot like a reflective shocking pink version of the mac bullet lipsticks and I am soon to buy another lipstick in the range. Price: £2.99

Essence Lipstick in 04 On The Catwalk!: This is another nude colour, but more on the slightly mauve side. It is really creamy and doesn't stain the lips much. Price: £2.30

NYC UltraMoist Lipwear in 320 Mahogany: This is one of my favourite lipsticks, mostly because of the colour. It looks to be an extremely dark brown colour, however is a deep red-purple colour. It can be applied a few times, to get a colour close to black though. This lipstick stains your lips oh so much. however is worth is. Price: £0.92

Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede in 035 Backstage: This is one of my go-to lipsticks too. The colour is a deep red and has amazing staying power, however I do feel that the item is let down by the clear packaging. I would recommend this item and it is worth its money. Price: £8.99*

NYX Matte Lipstick in MLS16 Merlot: I bought this item from beauty joint which is where you can most American drugstore makeup and some UK Makeup from for a fraction of the price. Shipping is also super low, so you get a bargain. I honestly cannot recommend that website enough. Anyways, I bought this lipstick thinking that it was a plum colour when it was actual a deep pink colour. I'm not much into pink lipsticks si I don't get much wear out of it but it is worth it's price and I would recommend it also. Price: £3.69

Primark Lipstick: It doesn't really say what colour it is, also I'm not sure if they even have any other colours in it. However this colour is a soft nude and its scent reminds me of the sweets 'love hearts'. It doesn't really stay on for long, nor does it stain the lips. But honestly I wasn't really expecting much from this lipstick. I only bought it for the colour, regardless of whether it stays or stains or not. Price: £1.00

Maybelline ColorSensational Popsticks in 010 Pink Sugar: The packaging is super cute and it has a sweet scent. You can barely see the colour on your lips but the actual lipstick is pretty, I use this as a lip balm. Price: £6.99

Miss Sporty Perfect Color Lipstick in 013 Vintage Look: I bought this online and honestly regret it; I was expecting the colour to be a slightly pinky nude but instead it was a glittery brown colour. Price: £2.59

*I bought these two items together on offer for 2 for £10 from boots but I'm not sure if they still have the item because I bought it a while back.

Mac Studio Moisture Fix+

Mac studio moisture fix+ : I absolutely love this item. I have combination dry skin, so I spray this on my face before I apply my make up and after. My skin stays hydrated and doesn't flake nor dry out. It also makes my makeup last longer. However if I don't let this product dry, it does tend to make your makeup run. Regardless of that, I will be purchasing this product again once it finishes.       Price: £23.00

Disclaimer: I am no way affiliated with any company.

I haven't blogged in a few weeks. mostly because I don't really have any idea on what to post but also because I'm currently doing A2 at college so I'm quite busy.
This review was written by my sister for my blog, so is not my personal opinion whatsoever, however is hers.

'I own the core collection and have purchased the powder brush, blush brush and the expert face brush individually.

Core collection: This cam in a set of 4: buffing brush, contour brush, foundation brush and the detailer brush. The brushes are really soft and do not leave any streaks on my face, unlike other make up brushes that I have had in the past. I used to use my buffing brush as a foundation brush as it used to apply my foundation on smoothly, however it broke after five months of me purchasing it sadly. The contour brush allows me to contour my face, without leaving any harsh lines. The foundation brush, I found, was too small for me to use it as foundation so I used to use it as a concealer brush. However, I felt as if it wasn't soft like the other brushes and also it tended to leave streaks where ever i applied my concealer so I threw it away. I'm yet to use my detailer brush as I haven't found a use for it yet. Price: £21.99

Powder brush: This brush is really soft and is quite big. I found it easy to apply my powder with this brush, without it leaving a lot of product on my face. Price: £12.99

Blush brush: I love this brush. The fact that it has a pink handle is an added bonus. It is a perfect dome shape which allows me to apply my blush a lot easier. Price: £9.99

Expert face brush: This was a soft brush , just like the other ones. However, I didn't like this brush as it picked up too much product and left me looking cakey and also wouldn't blend in my foundation no matter how hard I tried. Price: £9.99'

August favourites

(Left to right: Gosh velvet touch foundation primer classic; Rimmel professional eyebrow pencil; Body Shop born lippy pink berry lip balm; MUA eyeshadow palette in undressed; Rimmel lasting finish by Kate Moss in shade 30)

Gosh velvet touch foundation primer classic: This is a staple item for me. I have combination skin and this is the only primer that works for me. I can literally be sweating and my makeup will stay on no matter what. I have found that a little goes a long way and so, this has lasted me quite a while. Price: £7.99

Rimmel professional eyebrow pencil: I picked this item out a few months ago, mostly because I needed a cheap alternative to my mac brow pencil. I wasn't expecting it to be all that to be honest, but I was proven wrong. This pencil can be used to make your eyebrows harsh or if you use it softly at the beginning of your eyebrows, it looks really good. It stays all day, however when the sun does occasionally come out and temperature soars, this does tend to 'melt' slightly and you end up with eyebrows that are shiny and on the verge of disappearing. Price: £2.99

Body Shop born lippy pink berry lip balm: I recently visited Birmingham and went to Bullring shopping centre which I suggest to all of you, it's a shopaholics' heaven. I went to a Body Shop there for the first time and bought this. I usually don't like lip balm because they usually have a weird smell or taste to it, but this one has a berry smell to it which is nice and also it comes on clear. It doesn't become sticky like other ones do, but keeps your lips moisturising. I do find, however, that I feel the need to top it up occasionally. Plus, the packaging is super cute too. Price: £3

MUA eyeshadow palette in undressed: MUA is such a good brand; for such a low price, you get good quality items. This item was not bought by me, however was given to me by my sister. I love this palette and it is versatile as it can be used for everyday use. This is a dupe for Urban Decay Naked, but this I am unsure of as I don't own any of the Naked palettes. I used shade 5 across my lid, shade 8  in my crease and sometimes shade 12 in the outer corner of my eyes. All in all, I highly recommend this palette. Price: £4

Rimmel lasting finish by Kate Moss in Shade 30: I bought this lipstick on a whim and wasn't expecting for its quality to be good to be honest. The minimal packaging attracted me to it. The colour is a deep purple with a red accent. I've been wearing this literally every day and it stays on your lips for 2-3 hours so you do have to reapply it continuously throughout the day. It also does stain your lips and does tend to 'leak' throughout the day if you're hot. Overall. this lipstick is good for its price and colour only. Price: £5.49

This is the first time I have ever done an August Favourites and also a review on products. I hope it was good. Feel free to comment below. Nazia x
